Seeing Classic Books in the Right Light
Despite a preoccupation with the weather, when the sun does shine many people spend their time trying to hide from the harsh rays. A house with many windows soon heats up with the midday sun and can become like a greenhouse. Blinds are a way of creating your own weather system inside your own home. You might be trying to watch television or even relaxing with a few classic books and need to keep the glare of the daylight out of your face and eyes. When you read though natural daylight is perfect so you need a way of filtering and deciding just how much light you let in depending on the weather which in many countries is changeable throughout the seasons and throughout the day, You have to create the right environment by blending the inside with the outside. It is obvious really, blinds are not the same as curtains which blanket the light. They minimize and also create slits of light or roll up and down windows as the sun rises and falls in the sky, blocking out sunspots and sudden flares. It means you can sit where you want to and read or watch television without having to move position yourself.
Classic Music Book
Everyone has spent the day curled up with old fashioned classic books or modern day bestsellers and the ambience for these solitary pleasures is just as important as the lighting for a dinner party. It affects your mood and the level of light can help you relax or equally, if you are focusing on something which requires a lot of brain power then brighter lighting always seems to keep the mind alert. At night, too the relationship with the indoor and the outdoors is important. In modern houses especially, traditional curtains can make smaller rooms feel boxed in and claustrophobic. It can be great to see the outside world as well as to shut it out depending on your mood and what you are doing. You may not want the whole world seeing you relaxing and cutting your toe nails for example. Privacy is important for everyone. Not many people would want a bathroom or bedroom window permanently exposed to view.
Twilight in Italy
Heavy curtains often do not fit in with modern ideas about interior design, which often favours clean, simple lines and a minimalist feel. Everyone likes to wake up in the morning with some sunlight filtering through. A blind offers light and shade and privacy and modern design. And these days families live as much outdoors as in. Whilst waiting for somebody to cook dinner, inside in the kitchen or outside on a barbeque, you can be relaxing with your classic books of the week and sitting inside and outside and feeling little difference with open doors and blinds. Even when reading alone inside you can still keep an eye on anyone or anything outside or stare wistfully at the birds and the trees as your novels transport you on a literary journey.
